The Future of TV – Online Exclusive Shows

It seems that it doesn’t matter what it is, everything eventually ends up available online. It’s a great thing that the future of TV is online too! The Internet makes things ultra-convenient, so it’s no wonder this is becoming an increasingly popular trend.
In fact, there are even some TV shows on the horizon that are only being launched on TV. These aren’t little programs that no one wants to watch either! The latest show to follow this idea is “That’s Why You’re Single.”
This show is based off of a column that was on the Yahoo!7 website. As of right now, the producers of the show seem to be open to the idea of appearing on “regular” TV, but they are quite content with being an online show.
Dating columnist and producer Brooke Hemphill says,
“If you can get the show up online and really get it set up and get a following, then it would be less of a risk.”
The way the show is going to run is kind of interesting as well. It will be aired in 5 minute short segments, one per day. This is perfect for those who only have a few minutes to take a break at work or need to watch on their mobile phones.
In fact, the idea might work so well that it becomes even more of a trend. People are hooked on the Internet anyway, so it’s natural TV shows would start to appear there as well. It’s also incredibly convenient for people to be able to tune in when they have time. That fits the busy lifestyles of today better than having to watch at a certain time on network television!
The future of TV seems to be coming now, rather than later. That’s good news for us, because there are some great, readily available shows to watch.
