Online educational TV is becoming more and more of a trend. Video has certainly become more prominent over the years and it makes sense to make content available over the web as well. This is convenient for many different reasons, so it will likely become more popular in the coming years.
One reason many people love the thought of learning through online TV is because students can learn at their own pace. It doesn’t matter if they missed something the teacher said as there is usually an option to pause or rewind.
Even if the educational program is in real time, there is generally plenty of time for the student to work at their own pace. If it is a child, there is an adult there as well who is able to give the child one on one time.

It’s amazing to think about, but this kind of technology wasn’t even available until recent years. 2007 and 2008 marked the start of some of the earliest online learning programs. It’s likely to become even more widespread as the years go by, perhaps even becoming standard for those for whom it is inconvenient to travel to go to school.
Young children aren’t the only ones to benefit either. Since distance learning has become so popular in universities there are many people starting to take advantage of taking college level courses through online TV. It’s easy to add the components of collaboration through web forums and to turn in assignments through e-mail.
The online educational TV trend will certainly continue growing. It is convenient for students, parents, and schools. It provides a way to slow down or speed up education in a way that has never been possible before.
